Chris Henry is a highly accomplished baseball coach and certified personal trainer with over 20 years of experience spanning youth, high school, collegiate, and club levels. Known for his passion for player development and holistic training, Chris has dedicated his career to enhancing individual and team performance through strategic coaching, fitness programs, and innovative training techniques tailored for athletes of all ages.
Chris’s coaching career includes notable roles such as Head Baseball Coach at Kushner Academy, where he led the team to an impressive 58-26 record and multiple championships. As the Owner and Manager of the Essex County Eagles Baseball organization, Chris has helped countless players transition to collegiate-level programs while fostering a competitive and supportive environment. Additionally, he has served as an Assistant Coach at Union County College, contributing to record-breaking team achievements and mentoring players to pursue four-year college opportunities.
Complementing his coaching expertise, Chris is a certified personal trainer with extensive experience designing and implementing fitness and strength training programs for athletes at all stages of development. Through his work as an independent contractor and his tenure at Motion Fitness Club LLC, he has promoted proper form, technique, and the significance of living a healthy lifestyle. His commitment to fitness extends to organizing agility training programs and sports instruction through his company, Chris Henry Sports Instruction, LLC, where he helps individuals achieve their athletic goals.
Chris is deeply invested in the South Orange and Maplewood communities, serving as a Youth Coaches’ Development Coordinator and a key committee member for local baseball programs. As the Director of Cougar Baseball Camp, he has mentored aspiring athletes while fostering values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
In 2021, Chris was inducted into the Seton Hall Prep Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1995 State Championship Baseball Team. His combined expertise in coaching, fitness training, and community engagement has made him a trusted mentor and leader, dedicated to helping athletes succeed on and off the field.
